China¨s Crude Steel Production in September 2005: 30,357,100 tons

 

 

    
 
 

According to the latest statistics, China¨s crude steel production of September 2005 continued upward trend set in the past month, with total production of 30,357,100 tons, up 22.3% from the same period of last year. The year to date (YDT) figure was set at 255,285,500 tons, up 27.4%.
Of the total production, finished steel products accounted for 32,251,800 tons, up 21.1%; YTD figures at 268,819,400 tons, up 25.8%. In the breakdown by items, rail products 293,000 tons, up 21.5% and YTD figures (2,373,000 tons) up 15.7%; wire rod totaled 5,101,600 tons, up 9.5% and YTD figures (43,928,900 tons) up 20.9%; heavy plate totaled 993,400tons, up 39.6% and YTD figures (7,897,400 tons) up 28.4%; hot rolled sheet totaled 242,200 tons, down 18% and YTD figures (2,466,700 tons) up 29.1%; cold rolled sheet totaled 822,900 tons, up 40.3% and YTD figures (5,995,800 tons) up 23.3%; galvanized sheet (strip) totaled 646,100 tons, up 20.7% and YTD figures (5,383,600tons) up 31.7%; seamless pipes totaled 910,200 tons, up 24.4% and YTD figures (7,540,200 tons) up 23.2%; welded pipes totaled 1,514,100 tons, up 38.5% and YTD figures (11,195,800 tons) up 28.9%.
