China¨s Crude Steel Production in December 2004: 26,533,400 ton

 

 
    
According to the latest statistics, China¨s crude steel production of December 2004 continued upward trend set in the past month, with total production of 26,533,400 tons, up 33.1% from the same period of last year. The year to date (YDT) figure was set at 272,456,300 tons, up 23.2%.
Of the total production, finished steel products accounted for 27,639,600 tons, up 25.6%; YTD figures at 297,387,000 tons, up 23.5%. In the breakdown by items, rail products 222,400 tons, down 22.5% and YTD figures (2,689,100 tons) up 18.7%; wire rod totaled 4,422,300 tons, up 18.3% and YTD figures (49,409,800 tons) up 21.4%; heavy plate totaled 695,800 tons, up 31% and YTD figures (7,960,600tons) up 29%; seamless pipes totaled 807,800 tons, up 18% and YTD figures (9,083,300 tons) up 23.9%; welded pipes totaled 1,253,500 tons, up23.3% and YTD figures (12,147,700tons) up 17.9%.
