China¨s Crude Steel Production in September 2004: 23,758,100 ton

 

 
    
According to the latest statistics, China¨s crude steel production of September 2004 continued upward trend set in the past month, with total production of 23,758,100 tons, up 24.1% from the same period of last year. The year to date (YDT) figure was set at 194,151,000 tons, up 21.6%.
Of the total production, finished steel products accounted for 26,411,200 tons, up 23.2%; YTD figures at 213,918,300 tons, up 22.8%. In the breakdown by items, rail products 223,700 tons, up 21.2% and YTD figures (1,872,000 tons) up 13.4%; wire rod totaled 4,472,700 tons, up 25.8% and YTD figures (35,681,600 tons) up 19.9%; heavy plate totaled 697,300 tons, down 20.3% and YTD figures (5,970,500tons) up 26.9%; seamless pipes totaled 786,300 tons, up 24.8% and YTD figures (6,652,500 tons) up 25.2%; welded pipes totaled 1,083,200 tons, up 19.4% and YTD figures (8,631,700tons) up 18%.
