China's Crude Steel Production in April 2004: 20,875,400 ton

 

 
    
According to the latest statistics, China's crude steel production of April 2004 continued upward trend set in the past month, with total production of 20,875,400 tons, up 20.6% from the same period of last year. The year to date (YDT) figure was set at 81,116,200 tons, up 25.2%.
Of the total production, finished steel products accounted for 23,015,400 tons, up 23.4%; YTD figures at 89,448,300 tons, up 28%. In the breakdown by items, rail products 215,000 tons, up 17.2% and YTD figures (817,000 tons) up 25.2%; wire rod totaled 3,593,300 tons, up 19.7% and YTD figures (13,990,200 tons) up 23.6%; medium and heavy plate totaled 1,439,200 tons, up 6.5% and YTD figures (6,117,300 tons) up 16.8%; seamless pipes totaled 760,100 tons, up 24.3% and YTD figures (2,793,300 tons) up 29.2%; welded pipes totaled 1,019,800 tons, up30% and YTD figures (3,312,400 tons) up 24.1%.
