China's Crude Steel Production in March 2004: 21,847,500 ton

 

 
    
According to the latest statistics, China's crude steel production of March 2004 continued upward trend set in the past month, with total production of 21,847,500 tons, up 23.1% from the same period of last year. The year to date (YDT) figure was set at 61,466,500 tons, up 26.4%.
Of the total production, finished steel products accounted for 23,899,500 tons, up 26.6%; YTD figures at 67,264,600 tons, up 29.5%. In the breakdown by items, rail products 224,900 tons, up 26.6% and YTD figures (602,100 tons) up 28.7%; wire rod totaled 4,123,200 tons, up 19.6% and YTD figures (11,316,100 tons) up 22.9%; heavy plate totaled 622,200 tons, up 37.7% and YTD figures (1,814,000tons) up 44.9%; seamless pipes totaled 749,200 tons, up 30.6 and YTD figures (2,021,600 tons) up 31%; welded pipes totaled 984,000 tons, up 29.6% and YTD figures (2,289,500tons) up 22.5%.
