Special steel output from China's key special steelmakers during January to August amounts to 3,861,165 tons, up 9.70% from that in the same period last year. Finished special steel products accounts for 3,536,040 tons, up 7.55% from those in the same period last year.
In the breakdown by items, only five categories maintain rising trend in production compared with those in the same period last year: industrial virgin iron 243 tons, up 64.19%; alloy spring steel 202,824 tons, up 38.82%; alloy structure steel 1,604,230, up 36.80%; high-grade alloy steel 69,078 tons, up 15.78%; silicon steel 60,482, up11.55%.
All the other products represent more or less slides in output compared with those in the same period last year: high-grade tool steel 2,122 tons, down 48.99%; carbon spring steel 12,761 tons, down 36.71%; carbon tool steel 12,912 tons, down 28.71%; high temperature alloy steel 1634 tons, down 13.73%; precision alloy steel 303 tons, down 11.14%; nickel-based stainless steel 71,397 tons£¬down 13.93%; chrome-based stainless steel 43,294 tons, down 3.18%; silicon steel 60,482 tons, down 11.55%; heat resisting steel 6,279 tons, down 0.92%, regular carbon structure steel 952,047 tons, down 10.47%; bearing steel 580,131 tons, down 1.16%; alloy tool steel 47,492 tons, down 5.77%. |
