China’s crude steel output was 448 million tons during January to November of 2007, up 16.74% year-on-year; steel products output was 515 million tons (including double counting steel), up 22.45%. In November, outputs of both crude steel and steel products were 39.69 million tons and 47.68 million tons respectively.
Pig iron output in China was 427.44 million tons, up 15.68%; coke 298.44 million tons, up 17.57%; iron ore 633.45 million tons, up 20.03%; ferro-alloy 15.69 million tons, up 23.44%.
During January to November, China’s output of pure sheet was 70.18 million tons, up 33.68%; long products 241.59 million tons, up 16.68%; strip 128.02 million tons, up 26.68%; coating and galvanized 20.98 million tons, up 42.36%; pipes 38.54 million tons, up 16.32%; others 8.54 million tons, up 46.4%.
