During the first nine months of 2007, China’s crude steel output was 362.73 million tons, up 17.61% year-on-year, pig iron 346.38 million tons, up 15.68%, steel products (including double counting steels) 417.54 million tons, up 23.97%.
During the first nine months, sheet output (excluding narrow strip) was 146.99 million tons, up 38.23% year-on-year; long products 195.95 million tons, up 17.65%; strip 103.76 million tons, up 27.4%; coating and galvanized products 20.50 million tons, up 45.11%; pipe products 30.91 million tons, up 17.3%; other steel products 6.89 million tons, up 50.9%.
