During the first ten months of 2007, China’s crude steel output was 408.52 million tons, up 18.14% year-on-year; pig iron output 387.42 million tons, up 15.81%; steel products (including double steels) 466.56 million tons, up 23.53%. In October, crude steel production was 42.92 million tons, breaking monthly record. During the first ten months, sheet output was 63.89 million tons, up 36.2%; long products 21.87 million tons, up 17%; strip 11.65 million tons, up 28.46%; galvanized and coated products 19.14 million tons, up 46.07%; pipe 34.51 million tons, up 16.28%; other steel products 7.65 million tons, up 49.5%.
