China¨s Steel Production in November 2006: 37,957,300 tons

 

 
  According to the latest statistics, China¨s crude steel production of November 2006 stood at 37,957,300 tons, up 24.1% from the same period of last year. The year to date (YDT) figure was set at 381,538,500 tons, up 18.4%; that of pig iron totaled 35,543,600 tons, up 18.3% and YTD figures totaled 367,442,800 tons, up 19.8%; that of finished steel totaled 41,747,000 tons, up 23.9% and YTD figures totaled 424,930,400 tons, up 24.8%; that of coking coal totaled 25,544,100 tons, up 19.5%, YTD figures totaled 252,990,100 tons, up 17.5%; that of ferrous alloy totaled 1,443,400 tons, up 22.5% and YTD figures totaled 12,767,400 tons, up 31.7%.
In the breakdown by items, rail products 275,100 tons, up 13.5% and YTD figures (3,024,300 tons) up 8.7%; rod totaled 3,185,200 tons, up 21.9% and YTD figures (33,716,200 tons) up 24.8%; rebar totaled 7,280,800 tons, up 14.2% and YTD figures (75,880,700 tons) up 17.9%; wire rod totaled 6,119,600 tons, up 14.5% and YTD figures (64,936,700 tons) up 19.1%; heavy plate totaled 1,157,000tons, up 22.7% and YTD figures (11,944,800 tons) up 21.8%; hot rolled sheet totaled 573,200 tons, up 190.1% and YTD figures (5,059,000 tons) up 83.5%; cold rolled sheet totaled 1,245,900 tons, up 60.5% and YTD figures (11,681,400 tons) up 53.2%; galvanized sheet (strip) totaled 1,304,000 tons, up 7.2% and YTD figures (12,487,400 tons) up 39.8%; coating sheet (strip) totaled 203,900 tons, up 5.2% and YTD figures (2,071,000 tons) up 23.3%; electric steel (strip) totaled 296,900 tons, up 33.1% and YTD figures (2,976,300 tons) up 26%; seamless pipes totaled 1,372,000tons, up 22.7% and YTD figures (13,480,000 tons) up 29.6%; welded pipes totaled 1,965,400 tons, up 11% and YTD figures (19,409,100 tons) up 23.5%.
