Special steel output from China's key special steelmakers during January to June amounts to 2,856,597 tons, up 9.79% from that in the same period last year. Finished special steel products accounts for 2,569,918 tons, up 5.92% from those in the same period last year.
In the breakdown by items, only three categories maintain rising trend in production compared with those in the same period last year: industrial virgin iron 243 tons, up 105.93%; alloy spring steel 154,612 tons, up 41.08%; high-grade alloy structure steel 48,749 tons, up 20.05%.
All the other products represent more or less slides in output compared with those in the same period last year: high-grade tool steel 1,488 tons, down 43.29%; carbon spring steel 9,619 tons, down 40.03%; carbon tool steel 8,288 tons, down 34.41%; high temperature alloy steel 1089 tons, down 22.98%; precision alloy steel 236 tons, down 9.58%; nickel-based stainless steel 29,311 tons，down 20.05%; chrome-based stainless steel 50,020 tons, down 15.33%; silicon steel 49,551 tons, down 5.15%; heat resisting steel 4,339 tons, down 6.63%, regular carbon structure steel 706,717 tons, down 4.91%; bearing steel 402,534 tons, down 3.3%; alloy tool steel 35,456 tons, down 4.91%.
