China¨s Crude Steel Production in February 2005: 24,806,400 tons

 

 

    
According to the latest statistics, China¨s crude steel production of February 2005 continued upward trend set in the past month, with total production of 24,806,400 tons, up 21.23% from the same period of last year. The year to date (YDT) figure was set at 50,090,100 tons, up 22.95%.
Of the total production, finished steel products accounted for 25,367,700 tons, up 14.69%; YTD figures at 51,886,000 tons, up 19.36%. In the breakdown by items, rail products 217,700 tons, up 18.32% and YTD figures (448,800 tons) up 26.32%; wire rod totaled 4,082,700 tons, up 8.9% and YTD figures (8,324,600 tons) up 14.31%; heavy plate totaled 734,000 tons, up 22.25% and YTD figures (1,447,500tons) up 16.23%; hot rolled sheet totaled 271,700 tons, up 28.22% and YTD figures (529,800 tons) up 34.47%; cold rolled sheet totaled 549,700 tons, up 21.91% and YTD figures (1,152,000 tons) up 32.44%; seamless pipes totaled 686,300 tons, up 3.89% and YTD figures (1,476,000 tons) up 20.52%; welded pipes totaled 884,300 tons, up 15.66% and YTD figures (1,889,900tons) up 35.21%.
