Special steel output from China's key special steelmakers during January to May amounts to 2,378,352 tons, up 10.98% from that in the same period last year. Finished special steel products accounts for 2,054,325 tons, up 5.50% from those in the year before.
In the breakdown by items, only five categories maintain rising trend in production compared with those in the same period last year: alloy structure steel 1,017,315 tons, up 38.38%; alloy spring steel 123,092 tons, up 35.28%; high-grade alloy structure steel 39,611 tons, up 28.65%; special carbon structure steel 126,587 tons, up 10.50%, pure iron 197 tons, up 121.35%.
All the other 12 products represent more or less slides in output compared with those in the same period last year: high-grade tool steel 794 tons, down 62.06%; carbon spring steel 8,393 tons, down 38.36%; carbon tool steel 6,992 tons, down 28.62%; high temperature alloy steel 919 tons, down 22.77%; precision alloy steel 165tons, down; 21.80 nickel-based stainless steel 23013tons£¬ down 18.82; chrome-based stainless steel 40,831 tons, down 13.03%; silicon steel 48,700 tons, down 15.31%; heat resisting steel 3,309 tons, down 13.04%, regular carbon structure steel 591,521 tons, down 9.50%; bearing steel 324,707 tons, down 2.44%; alloy tool steel 29,664 tons, down 2.21%.
