China¨s Steel Production in June 2006: 36,618,800 tons

 

 
  According to the latest statistics, China¨s crude steel production of June 2006 stood at 36,618,800 tons, up 18.52% from the same period of last year. The year to date (YDT) figure was set at 199,469,600 tons, up 18.26%; that of finished steel totaled 41,199,700 tons, up 32.1% and YTD figures totaled 221,951,800 tons, up 25.78%.
In the breakdown by items, rail products 313,900 tons, down 0.8% and YTD figures (1,596,100 tons) up 9%; wire rod totaled 6,325,900 tons, up 23.6% and YTD figures (33,885,500 tons) up 18.5%; heavy plate totaled 1,130,900tons, up 26% and YTD figures (6,007,400 tons) up 22.8%; hot rolled sheet totaled 547,900 tons, up 130.9% and YTD figures (2,294,200 tons) up 43.6%; cold rolled sheet totaled 1,106,000 tons, up 70.6% and YTD figures (5,667,600 tons) up 51.5%; galvanized sheet (strip) totaled 1,094,800 tons, up 55.1% and YTD figures (5,826,900 tons) up 43.8%; seamless pipes totaled 1,315,300tons, up 35.2% and YTD figures (7,135,400 tons) up 34.6%; welded pipes totaled 2,109,700 tons, up 41.8% and YTD figures (10,047,800 tons) up 33.1%.
